Jimmy's!

One fine restaurant down the road, where you can try some American delicacies. The only problem is that if you decide to eat there, you have to sit right next to the main road (Flower Street), it's a bit like having lunch next to the freeway. But the food is good. It's been there for a long time I've been told.

And a nice Chevrolet Caprice, I love those 70's American cars, it's like being in a Columbo, I don't even know if that one is from the 70's, but I like it.

I dont get how you can draw sooo loosely, and still communicate soo much. It's incredible as is the range of approaches to your work. Still a big fan and learn soo much from you work.

- Hey Libra Bear. Thanks a lot for your nice words, I really appreciate. Are you working with Sylvain Chomet?

- Aaaah mon lapin sexy!

Snow in London hey? I'm off to Texas this weekend, would you like me to bring you un Chapeau de Cowboy?

Grosses bises a toi et Patricia!

- Thanks Jared, now you have to convince Oscar to drive this car.

Stef, your stuff is just terrific. I, too, especially love the power lines on that top sketch.

I may never learn to draw or paint, but if I'm lucky j'apprenderais le français sur votre blog.

Sending you an email.

If anyone feels like correcting my French, feel free. I speak it a little better than I write it.

Well, I am trying to learn german right now, but I have to practice my english as well. But I wonder about something, have you been artistically educated? I have tried to find the information about you, but so far I am either blind or...? I just wonder how you got so good! I see lot of sketches on the net but yours are truely awsome.

I'll be back. :o) Gotta run.

I am trying to learn spanish. Can someone help me to write it better and correct me please:

Thank you!

Oscar Grillo said...

Corretion:

Rather incoherent all together but this is more like it, Sr. Quevedo!

Lovely. Fluid and effortless looking mix of watercolour and ink...you've made it look so easy it deludes me into thinking I could draw with a pen and brush!

Wonderful drawing of Jimmy's. I work very close to it and eat there often.

Unknown said...

- Thank you very much! you are in one of the many Studios on Flower then? Watch it, you might be in my next sketch of Jimmy's soon!

Great sketches. I think the car is a 1968 or 1967 Chevrolet Impala or Caprice. They were so close you could only tell by looking at the taillights and side chrome nomenclature.

Beautiful work...am a fan.
