Sunny Weekend in London.

Two sketches done while enjoying the rather rare London sun by the river, not far from kew bridge that you can see in the distance, as well as the Steam Museum.

The city back drop could pass for the Toronto Skyline and the CN Tower. Lovely as always. I think that was the same weekend that was miserable over here.

The Bull's Head used to be one of the best Jazz pubs. I don't know if it still is. (?)

I have fond memories of emerging blinking into the 3 o'clock sunshine after a slamming set on a Sunday lunchtime.
They had a drink in there called a "Whizzbang", made of various Youngs' strong beers, according to the season.

Your drawing certainly took me back. Thanks!

Ah! London! A pub! In the sun!

-Thanks Smook. The skyline is far much smaller here, the steam museum tower is probably 5 times smaller.
So nice to have some sun in London, you have to make the most out of it while it lasts.

- Thanks Michael! This is the Bulls Head in Chiswick, by Kew Bridge, I think you're talking about the Bulls Head in Barnes, I know that they still have some thursday night jazz singing.
I'll have a go at the "Whizzbang" if I'm brave enough.

- Hey Dan! thanks and see you soon in San Diego!

-I'm sure you have exactly the same somewhere in Venice Beach Andy.

Wow, that's my local pub too. Pretty accurate lines, I recognised it before I read the text.

-Are you one of those lucky people living in those beautiful houses by the river, next to this pub Matt? This is a beautiful area, I love it.
See you for a pint probably one day.

-Thanks Eivind, your work is amazing, beautiful sketches!

The homes with the miniature doorways? Not that lucky (or short!) I'm affraid. Only a stones throw away in Chiswick Village tho...

Those one are nice, I was talking abouth the bigger ones just a bit further down, some people were swimming in the Thames on Saturday and went into one of this houses, they basically only have to jump from their expensive balcony into the river.

Do you live in Chiswick then Stef?
