I've never wanted to draw pooh and the gang so much before. The licensed work that Gerben, Matt and yourself have been posting has been great!

Wow Stephane, I really like it. Lately I've really wanted to try water-colour. I haven't used it since I was a kid. I'm so impressed with the great water-colour artwork I've seen on Uli Meyer's lately too. Fantastic stuff, really.

Hey, this is really nice. It's nice to see the sketch stage too. Cool.

It has a very lovely 'peacefulness' to it Stef. Very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing!

hiya Stephane, J'ose une pitite question de curieux : A quoi correspondent les 3 couleurs utilisees sur ton crayonne? Codes de l'industrie de l'anim ou preferences personnelles sur le coup?
Belle ambiance sur l'aquarelle :)

The drawing's awesome but in the painting Pooh looks like he has the mumps!

Oh man! Awesome!!! I love the little touches like the fence shadow and tree bark. Great theme and watercolor too! Just beautiful. I'm experimenting with watercolor and it has been fun but difficult.

Thanks bc3, Jeff, Kactiguy, Mike.

Merci Beau, les couleurs utilisees sont juste la pour m'aider dans la contruction de mes personnages, simplement pour les differencier les uns des autres ou clarifier certains elements du decor.

Thanks Mr Jones, what do you mean by the "humps"? it's not in my vocabulary yet.

Thanks Shawn!

when I started to work on those watercolours, I was still discovering the technic, hence some "mistakes" or unappropriate use of some colours. I'll post some more recent ones soon.

great stuff man- I love the watercolor finish- makes it feel like it was done a long, LONG time ago- like one of those long lost childhood drawings you love and then find in an old shoebox. love it.

Will you post some of the colour roughs you did with Winnie and the gang? They were so vibrant and spontaneous and hit the nail on la tete !!

I always found it amazing the way you made such a lovely piece of artwork as well as pleasing the 3,000,000 people that tell you where/what and how to draw the characters.

Hi Stef, not much to add to the above praise. There is a wonderful quality to this piece which makes you feel all warm inside. Reminds me of my childhood days when we still had snow, long before the effects of global warming took over.
Thank you for posting this. Must see more!

Awesome!! I don´t have words to express How much I like it (my english is very poor, too :D)! How did you draw the "pencil drawing" to the watercolor paper? It´s perfect!

Ohhh they are lovely Stef :).. Please post more :) your watercolor is really charming

lovely, the traditional feel of the watercolour is just perfect for the subject and as Uli says it does remind of times previous when we had deep snow this side of the pond, although I'm only thinking back as far as pre the electronic calculator, Uli is probably thinking back pre the motor car....

Mumps Stef, not humps. Mumps are a common childhood sickness, like measles. One of the symptoms is a severe swelling of the salivary glands, so your cheeks look puffy. I don't agree that Pooh looks ill though. He always has puffy cheeks!

Lovely drawing. I love the delicacy of the color.

Just wonderfully beautiful.

Great softness and mood.

Thank you very much Boris!
Mon cher Matt, thank you very much! yes I'll post soon some colour rough, I'd like to show all the roughs and work before the final watercolours.
Thank you Uli, I'm flattered you like my "Winnie the Pooh" work!
Thanks Claude, Cristina, Edian, Alina, Virginia!
Cully, thanks for the explanation of "mumps". I know what Matt Jones meant now, it's true true that Winnie's cheek is a bit too puffy.
Thanks Mac!

Thank you very much guys for your comments on my Disney work, very much appreciated, I'll post more soon!

The watercolour reminds me of Norway. The same sort of peaceful landscape. I think it's brilliant.
