- Thanks Rob. All the details are not here, it's all about giving the impression that everything is here.
- Yes, let's go out and draw together Stacey, bring some food!
- For me mon Ami.
- >>>paper muncher<<< I wanted to try a bigger format as I always draw in a sketchbook, and I feel sometimes limited by the format, I like the freedom of a large page.
- Me too Mattias, but I like experimenting, trying new media, so the Iphone mini paintings are fun to do, even if I only get only a digital file at the end, but good practice and fun. I love drawing, painting, on a good old piece of paper, nothing replaces that.
Well, this work is great. Your work is always great. But I wanted to shoot you a note about dog adoption re: one of your other posts. I highly recommend Boxer Rescue LA to match up with a temperment to suit you. They have copious records and notes on every dog, and the known history of every dog, plus the input of what the volunteers have witnessed in terms of friendliness with people/otherdogs/cats/children, etc. Just a thought. Sorry your other attempt didn't work out, because you were obviously trying to do the responsible and humanitarian thing by adopting. And a Norski God Jul to you and your wife.
- Hé Sylvain! merci! j'espere que tout vas bien pour toi a Londres. Tout travail est toujours aussi impressionant, et meme de mieux en mieux!
- Thanks Bodiley.
- Thanks Parka.
- Thanks Alexander.
- Hey Craig! Thanks!
- Thanks Justdoodleit.
- Hey Karin, Thanks a lot! and thanks for the info about Boxer Rescue LA. We got a very good dog right after that, from a Family, a nice yellow lab, Fancy, she's great. God Jul ocksa!
I really like these 2 sketches. I looked the photos of Ronnie's & it would not catch my eye while your sketches of it make me want to just be there. I think cuz you capture the feel of the place as it was back when these cars were new. Wish you and your wife and Fancy very happy holidays.
- Thanks Enb. It feels good drawing big, Happy Holidays to you!
- It's a date Dan!
- Hey Tash. Thank you very much. I really appreciate your comment. Your last photos on your blog, the sunsets are fabulous! I wish you too and your family very happy holidays and thanks again for popping by my blog :)
Great sketch. Fun to see what you did working with a larger format. Not overworked and just the right feeling of atmosphere. Keep it up, I always find your sketches inspirational.

More marvelous stuff, Stef. It seems you can do no wrong. I don't know that much about drawing but it seems you have such confident strokes. Almost jaunty! That's not the right word, but I love the work.
Wow, Stephane, I love this. I agree with Petrea -- there is a happy assuredness to those lines which make the whole thing come alive. These images are so bold and joyful.
Thanks a lot Laurie! I went down to South Pas this afternoon, and drove around to find one of those beautiful cars your shot sometimes...but no luck :( I saw the "rue de la gare", have you ever been to the Bistro de la Gare, any good?

this is really great! i echo Rob and Stacey. Why'd you decide to go so big on this one?
This reminds me of a Studebaker rusting under a redwood forest, once used as a writer's office.
Ruin in beige.

Thank you so much Petrea! I can do wrong, and I do, I learn a lot from my mistakes as a lot of Artists do.
I like "jaunty".
Happy holidays! :)

Nice work. The shades of water color looks great and natural.
