Pink House.

A beautiful street in Notting Hill. I started to sketch there last weekend hoping that one of those rich person living in these beautiful houses would spot me and comission me some work... but the only person who stopped was a charming lady, who asked me if my scooter was new...oh well.

Man, you're productive. Wish I could put out new sketches every day. Liking the simple shadow effect on the house... :-) Looks like t'was a great day to be in Notting Hill too...

Thanks Eivind. I'm trying to sketch as much as possible, I love it, this is a good way to improve, there is some much I have to learn out of it.
How funny, I was posting a comment on your blog at the same time I received yours.

How new is your scooter?

Elliot Cowan said...

You have shunted everything around, confusing a simpleton like me...

-Too new and flashy Oscar, her eyes got caught by it rather by my small sketchbook, the life drawing tutor told me that I draw too small, I should have listened to her. Next time, no scooter, a huge sketchbook and I'll dress as a French artist stereotype.

-Are you talking about the new blog layout Elliot?

This is beautiful!! Love the composition a lot!

I had a problem with my blog again last week, couldn't post anymore, or I could, but nothing would appear on the blog, so I decided to revamp it, a fresh new look for the summer, what do you think?

I like the new layout. Simple and clean.

Wow you have posted so many new things since I last visited, yay!
Maybe if you set up an easel on the street and paint someone might come out and want to buy the painting - especially if it's a painting of their street and house :)

With a huge sketchbook and dressed as a French artist stereotype, that's the way I allways dress.

The indication of the lighting/tree shadow on the house ces't magnifique!!

I used to make quit a lot of commsion work, the trick I found was to return to one specific place, this might be easier in Sweden, London is such a large town. Speaking of commision I'd kill for one of your airplane pictures.

-Thanks Mark.

-Merci Monsieur Jones.

Just a spot of the right blue and it makes your heart go all summery too. At least for me. Great stuff, Stef!!!

Thank you very much Uli. It's a great reward for me when you like or feel something from one of my sketches.
