Rough sculpts

My friend in Paris, who's currently working on this beautiful figurine based on my characters, asked me if I could post some of the sculpts he's been working on lately, so here you are, this is some rough sculpts (wax). Those are going to be Bronze soon...The horses are going to be amazing! (although he still has to learn from my horse drawings, their anatomy is just not right, kidding of course). Any feedback, comments about his work will be much appreciated, thanks!

And a sketch of him I've done a while ago, he's the stereotype of a French man, the kind of guy you would see in a Jacques Tati movie!

Thanks for him guys!
Thanks Bernerd! funny you said that, because when I did this sketch of him, we had the idea to do a kind of figurine out of it, the kind of soft rubber one that you can bend in all different ways.

Unknown said...

The horse rolling on the ground is beautiful Stef!

Is this sculptor friend too shy to give his name?

Unknown said...

Thanks for him, I'll let him know ! He is very shy indeed, is name is René, he doesn't have a blog yet, technology is not his thing, that's why I'm going to use my blog to showcase his work sometimes and give him the opportunity to get some feedback on his beautiful sculptures!
