Jour de fete!

As Matt and Gerben already posted their beautiful Jacques Tati illustration, I thought it was my turn now. As Matt said, we did those as a theme between us before our Eurovision Art Challenge started. I really like "jour de fete", I wanted to do a poster using some of the iconic elements of the story. Voila!

Hey! That's nice Stef!
I've only seen Playtime, but it's a good one.

Elliott: you're right, on the pink frame. The postman has very long legs and a short pair of trousers, that's why it looks like he's missing a foot, I tried to correct it, but then, it doesn't really work, adding a bit of his right foot makes his leg very short.
Alina: Thank you!
Hustle: Thanks and I'll go on your blog !
Louie: Thank you very much Louie for popping by!
Nick: Thanks! "Jour de fete" is one of the best Tati's movies for me, I really recommend it, "les vacances de Monsieur Hulot" and "Mon Oncle" as well.

Thanks everybody for your comments!

Hi Stef, this is a lovely poster. I'd post mine but I lost it! If it still exists it's in your or Matt's inboxes?
I've only seen PLAYTIME so far & found it to be a masterclass in film composition, staging & art direction. The ultra-stylisation of everything from the architecture to the movement of groups & individuals is very close to animation.

Fantastique! I was gonna comment on the missing foot too, but then I realized I was reading it all wrong. Everything's good.
