San Francisco...

Off again. Matt, Gur-B and I are away for a week in California, for work, and then Vegas for a weekend.
Hopefully I'll be back with a lot of sketches to share with you, meanwhile, here are some from San Francisco last January.

Rodeo figurine update

The little Rodeo figurine is almost done, Rene has just finished the clean up stage, then he'll do the final version in tin soon...I can't wait to see it!
You can see on the first picture the clean resin sculpt, then the one with grey paint to check that every details are OK, ready for the tin.





And 2 pictures of the making of the box from 2 different kind of woods, it's going to be beautiful!
If everything is going well and Rene is not too busy, we will be ready to sell the first figurines in January!

Spain

I was in south of Spain last week, Granada and Seville, beautiful cities! shame that it was raining most of the time, hence a lot of sketches in bars while enjoying some amazing tapas!

A little break...

Pooh's roughs

I do a lot of colour roughs before my watercolours, I almost prefer them to the final illustration, there's so much life in them. I really enjoy this part when my line and colour can be very loose.

Late night with Jonathan Ross

Yesterday evening, I went to the recording of the Jonathan Ross show. It was great fun! Guests were Woody Harrelson, Sharleen Spiteri, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), and the band, the Kaiser Chiefs.

Life drawing at the TATE

Yesterday evening Matt "Crookie", Gerben, Matt Jones and I went to the Tate Modern to attend a life drawing course...great experience!
